Flooded flora (Ondoy series part 7)

Plants and food are probably the best photography subjects. They’re colorful and they don’t move. Taking a quick break from cleaning up, I began to notice what terrible situation Ondoy has left our precious plants.

The thick mud literally cracking out from each leaf and branch.

Under the direst of circumstances, I still think they’re beautiful.

But Turo must have thought otherwise. He was the one who planted and cared for them anyway. I’m sure he must have died when he saw what happened to his prized anthuriums (which are near dead by now).
